About me

(The real me !)

Well, actually I am a normal guy who happens to be doing a PhD ! I also happen to be a renegade engineer. I did my bachelor's in Mining Engineering and master's in Petroleum Engineering and then decided to get real and do my PhD in Management Information Systems at the UT Business School. Of course other reasons include service to the business community, to the cause of knowledge, research, teaching, blah, blah, blah...

As an Assistant Instructor at the Dept. of MSIS, I teach a course on Client-Server Architecture (MIS 373.5). I've put up some of my course materials on this server. Click here if you are interested.

I work at the Center for Information Systems Management with Prof. Andrew Whinston and Prof. Anitesh Barua. I also happen to maintain a network of HP workstations one of which is running this web server.

My professional interests...

Research work
I am working on the commercialization of internet. We are building a framework to analyze economic, business and technical implications of conducting business on the internet. More info will be availble by the end of summer when I should have finished my paper on conducting commerce on internet. Systems Administration
I maintain a network of workstations used for research purposes. We propose to setup prototypes of economic and technical models which can actually be used over the internet.
